Your working day today

Your recipes live in spreadsheets, and for every production run you record on a form which raw materials, with which lot number, went in. Best-before dates, temperature readings and cleaning rounds are ticked off on paper lists. Wholesale orders arrive by email and through several portals, and are re-typed by hand. During an audit, or when a supplier recalls an ingredient, someone has to go through every binder to work out which batches and which customers are affected.

What we build

For a food manufacturer we build four parts, for the office and a tablet on the production floor. We lay the foundation: the technology, the database, sign-in and security, hosting and maintenance. On top of it we build:

• Recipes and batches: recipes in one place, and a batch record per production run with raw materials, lot numbers and quantities.
• Traceability: from raw-material lot to batch to delivery and back again, with a single search.
• HACCP records: digital checklists for temperature, cleaning and goods-in checks, flagging anything out of range.
• Orders and production planning: orders from email and portals on one list, and a schedule showing what needs to be made when.

Timeline and price

• Timeline: we expect a first version with recipes and batch records within 4 to 6 weeks. Traceability, HACCP records and planning follow in the rounds after that.
• Price: the prototype is free. Going live costs a one-off €1,500, then from €199 per month, with hosting, backups and changes by the factory every month. A link to your customers’ ordering portals is part of Your own AI factory, from €599 per month.
