Every machine is different, so every quote starts again in a spreadsheet. Once the order is in, the parts list (BOM) is exported from the CAD package and turned into purchase orders by hand, and long-lead parts are easily ordered too late. Design, purchasing, assembly and commissioning run through email and a shared calendar. When a machine stops at your customer’s site years later, the service engineer has to work out which parts and which software version are in it.

What we build

For a robotics or special machine builder we build four parts, for the office, the workshop and the service engineer on the road. We lay the foundation: the technology, the database, sign-in and security, hosting and maintenance. On top of it we build:

• Quote builder: quotes assembled from building blocks with cost prices, margins and lead times.
• Parts lists and purchasing: import a BOM from an export, link articles, create purchase orders and track lead times.
• Project planning: design, purchasing, assembly, factory acceptance test and commissioning per project, with milestones.
• Machine file and service: configuration, documentation and every service visit per delivered machine, also filled in from a phone.

Timeline and price

• Timeline: we expect a first version with the machine file and the parts lists within 4 to 8 weeks. The quote builder and project planning follow in the rounds after that.
• Price: the prototype is free. Going live costs a one-off €1,500, then from €199 per month, with hosting, backups and changes by the factory every month. A link to your CAD package or ERP is part of Your own AI factory, from €599 per month.
